- The shade of the pearlescent glare can fully match the main color of the gel-lacquer coating, creating additional depth or volume of the design at different lighting angles.
- Pearl gel-lacquers, which contain a lot of pearlescent particles in the composition, are usually applied without a black backing and have not clearly defined glare neon shade.

This article describes in detail how to apply gel lacquer "cat's eye" so that the coating is worn for a long time and looked neat and stylish. The main thing, before applying gel-lacquer "cat's eye" carefully mix the contents of the bottle, so that the metal particles settled at the bottom, evenly distributed on the base gel-lacquer composition.
- On a standard prepared nail (degreased and polished) apply an acid-free primer and a base gel coat.
- Depending on the chosen gel-lacquer, you can apply a black undercoat or immediately start covering with cat-eye gel-lacquer.
- After the gel-lacquer "cat's eye" is applied to the nail plate bring a special magnet to the surface of the coating at a distance of 3-5 mm.
- Under the influence of the magnet metal particles form a moon glare of a certain shape and intensity. 5 seconds is enough to create a glare. The effect can be seen immediately, so you do not need to keep longer.
- Gel-lacquers "cat's eye" have a very dense texture, so it is possible to apply them on the substrate only in one layer, which can be quickly polymerized in a UV lamp 2 minutes or in LED lamp - 30 seconds.
- After polymerization, the adhesive layer is removed with a lint-free cloth and a special liquid for removing adhesion.
Cat's eye gel polish magnet
You can use any strong enough magnet to work with magnetic gel-lacquer, but it is better to give preference to special magnets designed specifically for cat-eye gel-lacquer. Each manufacturer offers its own model of magnet for cat-eye gel polish, ranging from standard straight magnetic plates to special magnetic pens, which are convenient for creating glare lines and more complex patterns.
- Properly designed magnet for gel-lacquer has a comfortable handle and allows you to control and maintain the optimal distance of the magnetic plate to the surface of the gel-lacquer coating, as well as the correct inclination and direction of the formed pearlescent glare.
- The shape and contrast of the glare depends on the inclination, direction and shape of the magnet for gel-lacquer, so for a more predictable result it is better to use a professional perfectly flat magnet.
- The intensity of the glare depends on the level of concentration of metal particles in the gel-lacquer, as well as on the duration of exposure to the magnet.
What visual effects are possible with a cat-eye gel polish magnet
- Having mastered the secrets and basic principles of working with the magnet, you will learn how to make cat's eye gel varnish in the most unusual variants of nail design.
- By placing the magnet parallel to the nail - you will get a long single glare, absolutely straight, which can be placed in any direction (across, along or diagonal to the nail plate)
- If you bring the magnet perpendicular to the edge of the nail, you will get a beautiful gradient shimmer. This effect is especially beautiful due to the darker shade of the base coat.
- If you place the magnet with the edge in the center along the nail, you will get blurred edges at the side rollers with a dark part along the nail, which visually lengthens and narrows the nail plate.
- By placing the magnet with a rib along the nail, not reaching the cuticle or the free edge of the nail, you will get an unusual arched french (moon or regular).

- The glare should be placed on all nails the same way: in the same direction, so that the design looks harmonious and proportional.
- If during the work with gel-lacquer glare formed beveled to the side or in a direction not planned, you can pull it up with a magnet, provided that the layer of gel-lacquer is not yet polymerized.
- The magnet should not be brought too close to the surface of the nail: a couple of millimeters will not affect the intensity of the glare, but not frozen gel-lacquer coating can hurt.
- The more layers of gel-lacquer you apply, the blurrier the moon glare will be.
