What is a single-phase gel?
The answer to the question of what is a single-phase gel lies in the properties of this product:
- ease of use (suitable for beginners and professionals);
- persistence of coverage;
- affordable price;
- it is not necessary to apply several layers of the product, so as not to weigh down the nails;
- absence of toxic substances in the composition.
In other words, single-phase gel polish is a universal means for modeling nails, which combines three functions at once: base coat, base and top.
Advantages of single phase gel
- Liquid texture, thanks to which it evenly covers the nail in one movement.
- Suitable for girls with sensitive skin, prone to allergies.
- It is not necessary to use three separate bottles for the base, gel and finishing product. Accordingly, spend on buying three separate products.
Apart from the above mentioned merits describing this remedy, it has quite a few other advantages:
Are there any downsides?
Yes, single phase gels have some nuances to consider when working with them:
- It is impossible to apply stickers, sequins and other elements of volumetric design on such a coating.
- Liquid texture can be inconvenient in the work of those who have no experience in modeling.
In 1-2 modeling sessions, you will get used to the texture and master it. The single-phase coating does not last as long as the three-phase coating.
How to choose a single phase gel?
Buy only certified products from reputable manufacturers whose quality you trust. Do not skimp on the purchase of the product. Too affordable price often indicates poor product quality.
Do not buy gels in large bottles if you plan to use it at home. Choose the optimal volume that you can use up completely.
Which single phase gel is best?
Quality single-phase gels are presented by Kodi Professional, a manufacturer of professional materials for modeling and nail design. In the catalogs of the brand you can choose everything you need for work in the salon or home nail care.
Which gel polish is better: single-phase or three-phase?
Unlike a single-phase gel, a three-phase modeling system consists of three different polymers that differ in functionality and composition.
- Base coat. It has a fluid consistency and has priming properties.
- Sculpting agent. Its consistency is more viscous than that of the base. It forms the basis of the future nail.
- Gloss. It completes the modeling process and gives the formed nail the necessary plasticity and strength.
The benefits of three-phase extensions also include the ability to create a variety of designs.
How can I tell the difference between a single-phase gel and a three-phase gel?
Distinguishing between these products is simple. A single-phase gel is one bottle with a 3-in-1 product, while a three-phase system is three separate bottles with different products (base, gel and top separately).
The three-phase gel cannot be used as a single-phase topcoat. The gel from this system is intended for modeling only. It does not guarantee a durable coating without a finishing layer and polymer base (base). But use single-phase gel-lacquer in a three-phase system can be used as a modeling agent. The main condition is that all products must belong to the same brand, so that there is no "conflict".
How to apply single phase gel polish?
Before applying single-phase gel polish, you need to prepare your nails. Preparation includes a standard hygienic manicure, as well as treatment of the nail surface with degreaser or antiseptic solution. It is also necessary to prepare the necessary tools and choose the forms for the build-up. Then the algorithm is as follows:
- File the surface of the nail plate until it is rough.
- File the free edge of the nail, rounding it to attach the modeling mold.
- Fix the mold on the finger so that it does not move and fits the plate as tightly as possible.
- Treat the nail with primer.
- Brush a thin layer of single-phase gel. Keep the coating in the lamp for 60 seconds.
- Using a modeling brush apply one drop of gel and form a free edge of the nail, spread the gel over the entire surface of the nail.
- Keep the modeled nail in the lamp for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the adhesive layer, give the free edge the desired length.
- Remove excess cut polymer with a dry brush.
- Degrease the coating before applying the finishing product.
- Coat the nail with the finish and hold it in the lamp for 1 minute. Remove the adhesive layer.
Repeat the procedure with the next nails. Applying single-phase gel polish when modeling on molds is as easy as using regular gel polish! Nail extension single-phase gel can be not only on the forms, but also on tips. To do this, instead of a mold for modeling master uses polymer tips, matching them to the size of the nail.
Tips are glued to the nails with a special glue. Once the glue has hardened, you can give the tipsa the desired length and shape and use single-phase gel. Apply primer to the surface of the tip. Spread a layer of single-phase gel on the tipsa and dry it in the lamp for a minute. Gently apply the second layer of single-phase gel. Dry in the lamp for one minute. Remove the sticky layer from the surface. Apply another layer of gel and dry. Remove the sticky layer.
You can do single-phase gel extensions both ways in the salon and at home. Try both methods to see which one you feel more comfortable working with. You can remove these modeling products by soaking your nails in a special solution. If you don't want to overpay for modeling products and value quality, the single-phase build-up system is what you need!
