Decorative Crystals
Rhinestones, or decorative crystals, are one of the most sought-after and trendy options for manicure decoration, holding a special place in a nail technician’s practice. This design element instantly adds sparkling accents even to a solid-color manicure, allows you to embellish nail art, and pairs perfectly with other types of decorations.
Types of Decorative Crystals
The product catalog featuring decorative crystals from the popular international brand Kodi Professional is extremely extensive and can make it difficult to choose. Our technicians have categorized rhinestones by size, color, material, shape, and other characteristics to streamline the process for nail technicians and make it more convenient.
The size of the stones in the catalog is conventionally designated as SS (stone size). Our assortment includes crystals ranging in size from SS 03 to SS 16—from the most miniature stones to larger, accent crystals.
Based on shape, crystals can be divided into flat and cone-shaped varieties. By color:
-
clear with a soft, crystal-clear play of light on the facets;
- colored (more saturated or muted shades);
- with interesting visual effects (holographic, with various types of coatings—gold, silver, “northern lights,” and many others).
Nothing will limit your imagination, and in our extensive collection, you’ll always find that perfect option to bring your most creative ideas to life.
How to attach nail crystals? Tips from Kodi Professional technicians
Most often, the attachment method depends on the materials the technician uses. However, our technicians have prepared some universal recommendations that guarantee a secure and quick attachment of crystals to the nails:
- Use Diamond Glue, a special adhesive for rhinestones. It has an economical and easy-to-use gel consistency, can be applied either in small dots or with a brush, securely holds the crystal in place, and ensures a flawless manicure throughout the entire wear period.
- Base coat from Kodi Professional. After applying the main layers of colored gel polish and the top coat, apply the base coat to the areas where the crystals will be placed. Position the rhinestones using a wax pencil, then cure for 5 minutes.
- Top coat by Kodi Professional. This method of securing crystals is suitable for flat stones that do not need to be “embedded” in the base beforehand. First, the technician applies the gel polish, covers it with a layer of top coat, and removes the sticky layer. Using a fine brush, they apply the top coat to the areas where the rhinestones will be placed, “set” the crystals themselves, and cure the design in the lamp.
- Modeling gel. You can also create a crystal design directly on the surface of the modeling gel. To secure the result, it is recommended to apply a top coat without a sticky layer around the perimeter.
With Kodi Professional crystals, your manicure is instantly transformed, taking on festive, sparkling accents. This design works perfectly for both everyday and evening looks. There are no limits to your imagination and creativity.
